Taking a Break

In case the three of you who actually read this blog hadn't noticed, I haven't blogged in quite a while, and honestly I see no blogging in my near future, either. Life is just too hectic right now...

While I wait for my email to come back online...

Just some work from the past couple of weeks. In case you hadn't noticed, I haven't really been keeping up with this thing. Just too much other stuff to do...

Weather

I was dispatched to find some weather photos today. Two storms, one just offshore and one to the south of us have caused some heavy surf and flooding. I didn't find any flooding, but I was able to find heavy surf. I also learned a very valuable lesson. Waterproof boots are great... until the water level rises over the top of them and water gets inside. Then, the Gore-Tex actually keeps the water in, rather than letting it drain. Not fun.

Because of a computer glitch, this one never made it back to the office, and will never see the light of day other than on this blog.

Big Giant Head

While covering a fundraiser at an art gallery, this piece just struck me as creepy.

It's a giant baby head suspended from the ceiling. And when there are people standing next to or behind it... well, you can see for yourself. Creepy.

Well it's still summer so it's still really slow. I was able to shoot some sports though... A football game and a lifeguard tournament. Also a S.W.A.T. training drill, and a county fair. Still, it's all very slow.
