Apparently the State of the Garden State is, well, not very good... Here are some photos from the afternoon in the NJ State Assembly Chambers.

I think these are superb photos. who would think there was anything this visual at an assembly meeting.

My goal going into the meeting was to come away with something more than Corzine's talking head at the podium, so after getting the safe (talking head at the podium) shots I wandered around the room, weaving my way through the shoulder-to-shoulder standing room only crowd, looking for something out of the ordinary. Something not often seen from one of these addresses.
Of course, one of the reasons photos like these are rarely seen is because when the story ran in the paper, guess which two photos ran on A1... the podium shot and the overall shot from center balcony. Pretty much the same two shots that run every year. I knew going into it that anything else I got would be for me, for this blog, and would probably not end up in the paper.
